Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026
the951 collects the minimum information needed to send you the newsletter. We don't sell, trade, or share your data with anyone outside the services listed below.
What we collect
- Your email address — submitted voluntarily when you subscribe.
- Standard server logs — IP address, browser type, referring page, page visited. Used to detect abuse and improve the site. Logs auto-rotate.
- No tracking cookies right now. If we ever add analytics or display advertising (Google AdSense), we'll update this page and prompt for consent where required by law.
How we use it
- To send you the newsletter you subscribed to.
- To respond to messages you send to peter@the951.co.
- To detect and prevent abuse of the site.
- That's it. We don't use your email for ad targeting, don't profile your reading habits, and don't sell your data to anyone.
Third parties we use
- Resend — sends the newsletter and stores your email address. See Resend's privacy policy.
- Vercel — hosts the website. Standard server logs. See Vercel's privacy policy.
- Cloudflare — DNS and CDN. May log IPs. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Google Fonts — serves the typography on the site. May log IP at request time. We use a self-hosted variant when possible.
Your rights
You can:
- Unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every newsletter.
- Request deletion of your email address by writing to peter@the951.co. We'll remove it from Resend and confirm.
- Request access to what data we have on you. The honest answer is: usually just your email and the timestamp you subscribed.
California residents (CCPA)
If you're a California resident — and given our coverage area, most of you are — you have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of sale. We don't sell personal information. Period.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page when our practices change. The "last updated" date at the top tells you when. Material changes will also be announced in the newsletter.
